Mediation & Dispute Resolution

Resolving what seems irresolvable, with discretion and rigour.

The Practice

Resolving what seems irresolvable

With more than eighteen years of experience in commercial and international dispute resolution, I mediate matters where the numbers are significant and the relationships are complicated.

My approach is interest-based. Positions are what people arrive with. Interests are what they actually need. The work is moving carefully from one to the other, without pressure and without theatre.

Every mediation is confidential, voluntary, and structured. Parties keep control of the outcome throughout.

Services

Areas of Mediation Practice

01

Commercial Dispute Mediation

Complex business-to-business disputes across sectors including infrastructure, energy, construction, and financial services. I mediate cases involving contract breaches, joint venture disagreements, and partnership disputes.

02

Workplace Mediation

Sensitive workplace conflicts requiring discretion and empathy. From senior leadership disputes to team breakdowns, I create safe spaces for honest dialogue and workable resolution.

03

Corporate Restructuring Disputes

Disputes arising from mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, where commercial interests and human concerns are often deeply intertwined.

04

Cross-Border Disputes

Drawing on international experience across multiple jurisdictions, I mediate disputes involving parties from different legal and cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and authority.

The Process

How mediation works

01

Initial Consultation

We begin with a confidential consultation to understand the nature of the dispute, the parties involved, and whether mediation is the right path forward.

02

Pre-Mediation Preparation

I meet individually with each party to understand their perspective, interests, and goals. This preparation is critical to productive dialogue.

03

The Mediation Session

In a structured, facilitated session, I guide all parties through a process of open communication, interest exploration, and collaborative problem-solving.

04

Agreement and Closure

Where parties reach agreement, I assist in documenting the terms clearly. Where they do not, parties leave with a clearer understanding of each other's position.
